Fix common issues with FMMLoader26

Common Issues

FM Not Detected

  • Click Detect Target to scan common install locations (Steam/Epic/Game Pass)
  • If still missing, click Browse and manually select the FM26 folder

Apply Blocked by Conflicts

The Conflict Manager shows which mods have overlapping files:

  1. Reorder mods so the preferred one loads last, OR
  2. Disable the conflicting mod
  3. Re-run Apply

Changes Not Showing in Game

  • Toggling mods ON/OFF only marks intent - you must click Apply
  • Close Football Manager before applying changes
  • In FM: Preferences → Clear Cache → Reload skin

Need to Undo Changes

Open Restore Points, select a snapshot, and click Rollback.

Platform-Specific

SmartScreen Warning

Click More info → Run anyway. Normal for new/unsigned apps.

Missing WebView2

Download and install WebView2 Runtime.

Permission Errors

Right-click FMMLoader → Run as Administrator (only needed once).

"App is damaged and can't be opened"

Run in Terminal:

xattr -cr /Applications/FMMLoader.app

Gatekeeper Blocks First Launch

Right-click → Open → Open (instead of double-clicking).

Permission Denied Errors

System Settings → Privacy & Security → Grant Full Disk Access to FMMLoader.

AppImage Won't Run

Make it executable:

chmod +x FMMLoader26_*.AppImage

Missing Dependencies

Install GTK3 and WebKit2GTK if not present.

Logs

Use the in-app Logs tab or click Open Logs Folder.

Default locations:

macOS~/Library/Application Support/FMMLoader26/logs
Linux~/.local/share/FMMLoader26/logs

When reporting issues, include your log file.
